As a home health physical therapist with Outcomes Therapy Services, I have the opportunity to work with many of the residents at Maple Ridge Gracious Retirement Living, to support their health and wellness. I appreciate the active involvement of management and staff in promoting healthy living through exercise activities and equipment, social events, and group dining facilities. They demonstrate genuine care and concern about each resident, by identifying their interests, providing opportunities to express those interests, and making connections with other like-minded residents. This is facilitated by the fact that the three manager couples all live onsite, eating in the community dining room and being available 24/7. This contributes to a strong sense of community at Maple Ridge -- the residents look out for each other and are welcoming to new arrivals.
