If you are looking for atmosphere, this is a good place. But if you are looking for dependable care for your loved one, go elsewhere. The nurses are slow to respond, the food served is cold and other patients are un-attended. Even the driver taking patients to their appointments is reckless. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the rehab therapists were good and seemed to care about their patients.

Honestly, everything about this place is a lie, right down to their name. Focused care? NOTHING about the place is caring OR focused. Sure, a select few nurses working here are nice, but eventually they move on to better jobs after getting experience. The only people left working here are those not looking for experience in the health care field and people working here because they need easy money. Hardly any of the nurses bother helping patients, and they think they can get away with it because so many patients have Alzheimers and arent capable of speaking up.SIMPLY PUT: DONT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.Patients dont get proper care, most nurses are unfriendly, the food is honestly disgusting, the whole place gives me a bad, unwelcome atmosphere, nurses openly gossip about patients, and so many more problems.

There are a few caregivers here that seem to care and are great, but even they will admit this place is terrible. So let's get into the tip of the iceberg with this place. My dad, is supposed to take a phosphorus binder with his meals, and it often wasn't brought to him until more than an hour later at which point its useless, they are very slow to respond to the help button, they have a speaker that dings in the main station and its basically ignored, they even have tape over it so they can more easily ignore it. My dad was left soiled for 4 hours, he kept pressing the help and they would come in and turn it off, then claim they were sending someone, round and round for as I said 4 hours. That is unacceptable! He could have been using the restroom facilities if he had help getting to the toilet, but they take too long to respond. The wound care supplies is inadequate. When they took him back from dialysis they didn't have him strapped correctly into the van, he told them he wasn't strapped good and they said it would be fine, they went over some bumps at an angle and his wheelchair was rolling and rocking, he ended up hitting his leg on a steel plate and then the chair tipped over and he was against the glass, until he somehow managed to use his momentum to force himself upright again. Then something got mixed up with his discharge. My mom went back and forth with all kinds of people and they all would say something different, and then lie later about it. He was not supposed to be discharged until 'maybe' Friday, we had nothing prepared for him, we needed medical supplies, medical bed, walker, prescriptions etc and had nothing, but they call my mom on Tuesday and say they are gathering his things because he was being discharged THAT day. She called me in tears because she was so overwhelmed with it all. My dad needed a face to face with the Dr and for the Dr to prescribe him as home bound in order for insurance to cover the medical bed and supplies. That was the primary reason for a wait on discharge, yet they went ahead with it, the Dr discharged him without ever even seeing him. And focus care just springs it all on us. My mom got multiple confirmations several days prior saying they would not just boot him out, yet that's exactly what they did! Gave us no time to prepare, had no prescriptions for his many medications, no prescription for home bound. At $852 per day you would expect a LOT more than what this horrible company provided. Makes me so angry the way they handled this. We've delt with plenty of Hospitals, rehab centers, Acute care centers, and while some had negatives like old TV's, slow nurses or bad food, this one is by and far the worst!
