I would love to list all the wonderful things about Arden Courts! My husband has been a resident there for two months. The care he receives there is fabulous. The staff truly love all their residents. Everytime we facetime Tripp he is happy, content and laughing. It is such a comfort to our children and me that he is so well cared for and his needs are being met by this great staff. We are truly grateful God led us to Arden Courts. It was truly the best decision we made regarding a memory care facility. We are very grateful every day for Arden Courts. Joan Owen

Thank you all for being dedicated to caring for residents with memory care needs like my dad. This level of kindness and graciousness with staff towards residents and their families and staff amongst each other is refreshing and rare. We are very grateful to have found Arden Courts (just five minutes from our house) and my dads quality of life, as well as mine/my husbands, has dramatically improved over these past months since dad moved there in March.I feel that the staff at Arden Courts Austin TRULY cares about its residents and their families! The caring people who work there serve selflessly as though it is their calling, not simply a job. They continue to amaze me going the extra mile, creatively engaging with my dad and all the residents. They really know him and treat him with dignity and respect -- hes not a number; hes family. Every single time I walk through the doors, the staff is friendly, welcoming, communicative with me, displaying a positive attitude and never making me feel like Im in the way or imposing when I ask a question. My dad loves living at Arden Courts; his room is sunny with windows on two sides. It is always neat and clean when I visit (varied days and times of the week). I'm grateful I don't smell unpleasant odors when I visit and usually, it is the smell of homemade lunch or dinner that wafts pleasantly through the halls. Dad eats well (and I did too at the new family welcome lunch) and he is typically clean-shaven, groomed, and in clean clothes. You can tell he really likes living at Arden Courts and often is eager to give me a tour as though it is my first visit there. He and I both love that there are outdoor walking paths where he can safely walk and get outdoors. That was a huge selling point for me so he wouldnt feel trapped or feel locked in with memory care but still be safe and well-looked-after. Since Arden Courts focuses on memory care and many members of staff have happily been there for over a decade, you really feel the high level of expertise, experience, and wisdom. You can also feel the dedication, passion, and love for providing the best care!

Update: My father truly enjoys his home at Arden Courts, and it has proven to be the right choice for him. More than many of the other properties in this area, Arden is designed for the particular needs and preferences of active memory-care residents. The garden, porches and 1/4-mile walking paths are perfect for enjoying time outdoors. The staff is a varsity team of deeply caring and passionate professionals who love what they do. They are flawless at meeting the needs of each resident, while also relating to them above and beyond the dementia. If you have a loved one requiring this level of care, you need an interactive team approach, and Ive found that at Arden Courts. Our family is very grateful. We visited other impressive properties before placing our dad here. We chose it for the strategic design -- 100% secured, but still inviting and 'explorable' both indoors and out. The cozy houses are unfailingly spotless. When I visit, there's usually something delicious-smelling cooking in the kitchen. The staff have been there for years and seem to truly enjoy working together, despite the total focus the job demands. They reach out as frequently as I do to share and request information that might make a difference in my father's care. It's a relief to leave him in such attentive hands so that we can just enjoy 'going over to Dad's.'

My mother moved to Arden Courts in August of 2019. Im in love with her caregivers and other staff. The move in was smooth and easy. I love that once you are inside it doesnt feel like a facility ... it feels like home. Its all one level and the staff knows everyones name and the huge, beautiful grounds are amazing. The entire staff is trained in and understands dementia They have taught me so much. Im so thankful we made the decision to have mom live in this community.

Finding a facility where we could trust all the people who work there to provide safe, compassionate, knowledgeable, competent care for our dad was one of the most difficult, heart wrenching, frustrating experiences of our lives. The brilliant, loving man we had always known was no longer socially, cognitively, or emotionally predictable. After calling numerous places and asking the same tired questions, we happened upon Arden Courts. We often say this discovery was a God thing. Everyone we have met - the nurses, caregivers and their supervisor, cook, receptionists, director, marketing specialist, activity director, housekeepers, and office manager work hard to care for the residents and maintain positive communication with their families. We are encouraged to visit or call anytime. Often, it appears the person with dementia should be our only concern, but we have learned through this painful process that family caregivers are also often in great need of nurturing and support. Feeling lonely, yearning for what used to be, not understanding the behaviors of a loved one - these are things the employees of Arden Courts know about, and they care.It is comforting to be reassured that, Its not your dad; its the disease.
