When I moved to Texas from Minnesota three years ago I went to two facilities that had awful care. I didn't work for several months and ran across Meadow brook. I really liked working there as a CNA and stayed there for a year in a half and then I went back home to Minnesota. Everyone was like family including the residents.

After weeks of research and touring several facilities in the Arlington area I decided to move my love one in to Meadowbrook for the following reasons:Employees sense of pride in the facilitySense of teamwork with the caregiversResidents are always clean. After meeting with the Nurse Supervisor, Starlet, I felt like the nursing care would be excellent. Starlet spoke of her nurses with confidence that each resident would be monitored closely 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That has been my experience with the nursing care.Facility is clean. Thank you DonavonFood is excellent. I would like to recognize Jewell and her staff for providing hot meals 3 times a day.Facility is warm and welcoming with its beautiful garden areas and club rooms.Meadowbrook welcomes all family members to visit their loved one no matter how old (we have 2 great grandsons, one is 1 year old, the other 3 yr old). You can even bring your pet dogs in for a visit.Facility offers many different opportunities for the residents to participate in activities that are well planned and helpful to the individual no matter where they may be in their struggles to remember. All employees appear neat and clean and well trained in how to handle the residents. I would like to recognize the following persons for their kindness, professionalism, and their contribution to the quality of care they have given my loved one. I know that I have missed the names of some persons who I would like to recognize so please forgive me.Starlet for her team of excellent nursesMargaret for her oversight of the facility and efforts to build a caring team of employees. It shows!Reba for working with me to make the move seamless and less stressful.Donavon (sp?) for his prompt attention to keeping the facility operating and getting our room ready to move inDeMonte, Lyra, Tracy, Zavier, Sherryl and Baby Zowee for taking excellent care of us (both my loved one and her whole family) They work hard but never have a unkind word, only sweet greetings!I will be forever grateful to the team at Meadowbrook Memory Care for the quality of care and kindness they show to the residents and their families.

After visiting several memory care centers in the area, I knew the moment I walked into Meadowbrook that it was the perfect fit for my mom. We transferred her from a facility in Tampa, FL to TX so that I could visit daily and monitor her care. Upon her arrival, she was greeted with an outpouring of love and kindness. Every caregiver, housekeeper, certified nurse, activity director, receptionist, laundress has treated her with respect and found ways to comfort her when she is struggling. The residents are so supportive of one another and my mother has flourished since arriving there. She loves to walk, and the center is so large and filled with display cases for her to look at, windows to look out and benches or chairs to sit in if she tires. Staff is very attentive to the residents, and have attended to any request I have had for her very quickly. It's a very clean, calm and peaceful environment and my mom has transitioned beautifully in the short 10 days she has been there. It's a blessing to have Meadowbrook in our community, but its the wonderful and caring staff (from the top down) that make this place 'home'. Special shout outs to Reba, Starlett, Donovan, Erica, Jewell, Sherry, Ade, Cheryl, LJ, Ta, Gabby, Kathleen and the many others I have yet to learn their names.
