Their Dr prescribed my wife an overdose of medication that put her in a coma, she died without ever waking up.

This facility was wonderful to Mother. She was only there a short while before she passed away with Alzheimers. The staff treated Mother just like their own. Her room was always nice and clean. The facility was nice itself as well. Anytime I had a question or concern, I had a prompt response. This wasnt a nursing home to me, it was Mothers home. I highly recommend.

My husband of 40 years stayed a few months in 2016 after a massive heart attack & stroke. He'd been in 4 other nursing homes in the Memphis area for PT rehab along with several hospitalizations over a preceding 14 month period. One was so bad I actually had to call the police to get him out. By comparison; Ridgely is better than anything I've seen. Its not the cleanest, or most luxuriously appointed. But the staff are WONDERFUL. The P.T. people were absolutely committed to getting him on his feet. Their praise & applause when he achieved goals brought tears to my eyes. The kindness, patience & compassion shown by over 90% of the folks (there's always the few who are obviously clocking in for a paycheck everywhere, right?) was amazing. They treated my husband like he was family. I could go there anytime, which made me feel like they weren't hiding anything. The doctor LISTENS to the nurses, which is great (and unusual). People ARENT getting doped up like zombies to keep them quiet, which I perceived in some other facilities, sadly. The Dyersburg hospital is similarly outstanding when an emergency arises requiring transport. A few bumps in the road now & then, but the Ridgely management staff is responsive & things got worked out. We moved away; but if I had to do it again I would use this home without hesitation. As close to home as you can get in this category of care. Good choice.
