It is a SHAME this is the only Nursing home facility in Mountain City, TN. The people there are LAZY !!! A very close friend of mine was in this facility only a few weeks earlier. She called her adult child at work and asked if they could come help her to the bathroom because no one was answering her pages at the rehab. The center kept saying that she 'did not score high enough' for the insurance to keep her there, so they told her to pay or go home. This patient is 92 years old, congestive heart failure, recovering from a hospital stay and we later found out the Rehab Center did not even request more time from her insurance company. When released (more like kicked out) she did not even have oxygen in her home, we had to borrow a unit from the rehab center. Did not have to sign for it or anything, just showing their 'lack of care' attitude. No one helped us get her out to the car. We had to ask for a wheel chair. The list of complaints goes on & on. No one offered assistance on applying for TN Care to help her stay longer. Personally, I don't think they want patients, they might have to get off their butts and do a little work. We have met other patients who have very similar 'bad' experiences. Someone from the owner's office needs to check on this facility.

I have worked here a total of 19 years I love my job and enjoy working with this group of people. My sister in law was here a few days till she passed away and the staff was great with her and our family. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone in search of care for a loved one.

I have worked at mccrc for 21 years. I started as a night shift cna. After i got my nursing license i worked the floor for a while on nights. I was then able to come to day shift and do MDS for years. I am now an administrative nurse doing admissions and marketing. I love working at MCCRC. I feel I have a second family here. Plus I am able to help people in my community get the help they need. Our community is very fortunate to have such a great place to work and assist their loved ones. I have witnessed the kindness and love of our staff first hand. I have also had family here and was very pleased with the care they received. I recommend Mccrc to anyone looking to go into healthcare or anyone needing short or long term care.
