My boyfriends grandmother was admitted to The Waters after a bad fall and hospital stay. She was admitted back to the hospital a few days after staying there for a UTI or bladder infection. She was back at the waters for another week and a half before they discharged her because they said she wasnt making any progress. When the ambulance brought her home last Sunday (was told the ride would be free then once they got there the EMTs said we may get a bill for it bc its usually not covered.) she was extremely weak, had her eyes closed for the majority of the time and kept her hand over her face. She was not ambulatory what so ever and incontinent per her discharge papers, with a diaper on. She was very uncooperative, wasnt make any sense when she was talking but also kept saying she just wanted to be left alone. We were not sure if this was her new normal behavior since not being able to see her for the last 3 weeks other than when she was in the hospital, after her fall, so it was disheartening to see her like that. After a few hours I assumed she would have urinated so I checked her diaper and she was dry. I wiped her down anyways before putting on a new diaper and she had a very OBVIOUS yeast infection. From that, I absolutely do not believe she was receiving adequate personal hygiene care from the CNAs and being a former CNA myself, it really angers me she was brought home in that condition. The next day we took her to the emergency room. We thought it was possible she may have a UTI also because of her behavior and because she had not urinated for over 24 hrs since being home. After being cathed, blood work, CT scan and giving her a bag of IV fluids, they said she had been dehydrated, had a yeast infection, constipated but no UTI. After getting her home she started to perk up a lot and was making much more sense. She has now been home for one week and she has made tremendous progress! Everyday she is looking and doing better than the day before. She is completely cooperative and can stand well to transfer and has only had a few accidents during the night. One more thing I feel needs to be mentioned is after she was initially admitted to The Waters we took her her phone, kindle and glasses; however she was brought home with none. (While I was at the hospital with her the male nurse told me that this was the second time that week someone had told him their personal items were missing after coming home from The Waters.) We have called them several times this week and basically have just been getting the run around and no one seems to know where they could be. I last spoke with someone Friday and she told me the only other place they could possibly be is in the safe but the business manager had just went on vacation so I was told to call back on Monday. I dont have very high hopes they will actually be in there so I am hoping that they have a budget for such things. I wanted to write this review to let people know her/our experience there and to warn you not to bring anything of any value to that facility or your loved one, if you have a choice. If anyone has had a similar or worse experience, I urge you to write a review so that it may be seen by someone contemplating getting rehab there.

I'm giving this place a 3 star ratings because even though they have some great staff *not all* they do lack some help. A family member of mine recently had to stay in the facility and when they asked about the staff situation was told they are short staffed because people will work a couple of days and just quit. Now idk if it's because they couldn't handle the patients or the pay wasn't worth it but its sad to see the residents not get proper efficient care because people keep quitting and not wanting to do their jobs. When my family member was there they probably had 2 or 3 nurses that actually worked with them and were kind. Hopefully they get some better help soon because I understand they can only do so much

I was in the waters last year after my home burned down to the ground. I had a few small burns on my hand and smoke inhalation. The staff were great to me. Especially one young CNA who went out of her way to help me get through one of the worst time of my life. I can't for the life of me I can't remember her name.I was homeless very depressed and the Waters helped me through it. I think them all from the bottom of my heart .
