My father came here in Sept 2019 after surviving 6 months of hospice care and was in better shape then when he went in, The pandemic hit at the end of march and we lost all contact with him and after many unsuccessful attempts to contact him on his cellphone & at the Nurses desk(Elliott Pavilion), within 2 weeks he passed away with no notice of his decline to anyone in our family, please don't send your loved ones here!

I wish we could afford to put my father in a better home. There have been instances in the past with unpleasant employees but I won't get into that now. The reason I am writing this review is because the home does not seem to care that I have lost all contact with my father since the COVID 19 closing. My dad has a cell phone that we have to ask nurses to help him plug it into the charger because he is not mobile. For the past 3 weeks his phone has been dead. My mom and I have called the nurses station repeatedly asking them to check his phone for him. They always say they'll go check and never follow up with us. So now my mom has asked for a land line phone so we can avoid this hassle. They said no one can come into the building to set that up, which is understandable during the pandemic. My mom followed up again after this again about his cell phone and now she has been informed that his phone is 'missing'... I'm assuming the phone has been missing this entire few weeks which would explain why no one ever charged it for him. It would be nice if there was follow up with family concerns and if the nurses/techs cared about the patients at Victor Veterans. I miss my dad so much and have not even been able to hear his voice in almost a month. Victory Veteran's home, you need to do better.

Location was great in the beginning on April 2019. Nurses would call you everytime something happened or changed with your loved one. Calls started becoming far and in between. If you leave your loved one at location you better visit every other day to stay on top of health and wellbeing. I visited my father and he looked horrific. I immediately asked the nurse to get an ambulance to location. He was severely dehydrated and bed sores all over his bottom. Stay clear of location. They dont treat veteran's properly.

The staff and nurses made the transition easier for my family and dad. We were very impressed with the facility, nurses and staff. My dad kept a big smile on his face. They were very informative. It is great having a peace of mind knowing that all of the Veterans in this facility, including my dad, are being taken care of. They are getting excellent care which they deserve. They all fought for our freedom, now its there turn to be well taken care of. Thanks again to all of the Staff at this facility. We appreciate you all. Please continue the great work.
