As a community partner of Royal Oaks, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with their staff for the past year. They are caring, compassionate, helpful, and do a wonderful job with the residents! As you walk in the front doors, you immediately get a warm feeling in the quaint atmosphere thats provided. I would definitely recommend this place to others who are looking for independent/assisted living or memory care for their loved one.

This place is NOT somewhere I would recommend taking your loved ones. The staff is extremely uncaring and RUDE. They do not take the time to care for the seniors. They dont have the proper training and Ive witnessed staff grab, pull and tug on these fragile women's/mens arms. If some of them have trouble eating there food, they wont assist them and will let them go without eating if it means more work for them. Same goes for bathroom assistance also. They do everything for show, to get your money and their money. Shame on them. PSA: Provide care for others the way you would want to be cared for!! It may be you someday. And karma is REAL. For all those nasty staff members who have no heart for what they do!

Royal Oaks senior living is a place that is not only affordable, but the staff there adds onto the charm. Still, that's a drastic understatement. The staff is experienced and knows each and every one of their residents very intimately. I can't talk for the corporate-level (I just don't have any experience with them) but the Royal Oaks in Summerville has a staff that has a conscious, a heart, and the experience to take care of you or loved ones. Even the activities blow me away (e.g., local emergency personnel showing up in dress uniforms for Valetine's Day dance, food truck rodeos that also support the Alzheimer's Association, making liaison with local VA Reps to visit and help veterans side-by-side at their location, and it's only getting better!).
