My mother went in to NHC for PT and OT rehab. She was supposed to be in there a few weeks to get stronger and be discharged. We were not allowed to see her due to the pandemic so we made regular phone calls for updates. We went from one update where they told us that OT thought she was still a candidate and could make more progress to the next update telling us she was declining rapidly. We rushed to get her to the hospice house in Myrtle Beach and rushed from out of state to be with her. We were told by the hospice facility that NHC didn't think she would make it there alive. My sister and I arrived about 30 minutes after my mom did and we spent 8 hours with her until she passed. The staff at NHC should be ashamed of themselves.

Two of my family members have been here. Both have had wonderful experiences. Much of the same staff is there that worked there 5 yrs ago. Very clean, calm environment.

I too would leave zero stars if possible. My loved one went into the facility for rehab after being in the hospital for 2-1/2 weeks for congestive heart failure. After 10 days of only practicing standing (she should have been walking by then) she was sent to the ER. She went in with her oxygen saturation at 60, in fluid overload with a new bout Of congestive heart failure. This was due to the fact that the facility does not offer special diets, such as low sodium for patients who have congestive heart failure. She went to the hospital at 11 PM I was notified at 3:30 AM by the hospital that she was in the ER. I never received a phone call from the facility that she was transported to the ER. I would never recommend this facility to anyone and Will never allow one of my family members to enter the facility again. Beware!

Do not let a loved one stay here, understaffed and they will be negleted.
