It was a very difficult decision to move my parents from their home in Beaufort to a memory care home in Mt. Pleasant. However, the staff at Sweetgrass Court helped make it easier in every way possible. Tasha was amazing from the start, thoroughly answering all of my questions and checking in with me on a regular basis during the decision-making process. We were not sure if my mother would be a good fit, so their director, Traci, as well as their physical therapist, traveled to Beaufort to evaluate her. I was so impressed with their dedication. They did not want to just take our money- they truly wanted this to be a safe and appropriate move for my parents. Once there, the staff made every effort to help make a smooth transition for the entire family, not just my parents. The employees made a sincere effort to get to know my parents as individuals in order to help make them happy and comfortable. As soon as my parents condition changed, I was immediately notified and felt very comfortable and confident that they were well taken care of. Unfortunately, I lost both of my parents. However, the staff at Sweetgrass Court were there through every stage of my familys loss. They provided endless comfort and I wouldnt have wanted the situation to have happened any differently. They helped make the loss less painful. Tasha still checks in with me and I miss seeing their caring and beautiful faces. I wouldnt do anything differently, as my experience at Sweetgrass Court was priceless.

I am so happy I have found Sweetgrass Court. When a family member starts to experience dementia or Alzheimer behaviors, youwant to find them the best place you can afford. If you are like me, you will be drawnto shiny new homes that promise a hotel like experience with lots of activities.Well don't be fooled. If the home is new so are the employees. Which means littleto no experience in dealing with the complicated issues your family is going through.Sweetgrass Court may not be new and shiny, but it is loaded with staff memberswith years of experience. Sweetgrass Court is happy to give you advise on how tohelp them take care of your loved one. Again if you are like me, you have takencare of your loved one all by yourself for so long. You need help. Sweetgrass Courtis exactly who you need. They will take care of your loved one, and offer you therest you most surely need at this point in your life. At the same time giving youall the visitations that you want, even the freedom to take them to appointmentsand events with no issues. Believe me, this is the place you want to choose foryour loved one.Tracy Piatt

I have been very pleased with the care my dad has gotten while at Sweetgrass Court. Since I'm out of state they are kind enough to send me e-mails about activities and pictures of outings or other activities. This brings me a sense of comfort when I can not be there. They also are great when I call wanting to talk to him anytime of the day. I especially was grateful of the e-mails keeping me up-to-date on what all was happening during the recent hurricane. I was also impressed with the program that they have called 'Bridge to Rediscovery' which is their Montessori based approach to memory care. He even gets to entertain the staff and residence with playing the piano which he loves!

My Mom is 91 years old,and has dementia. She resides with me,which can be very challenging.I have secured respite at various facilities, some of which were a horrible Nightmare.THIS facility,Sweetgrass, has consistently shown to be a top rated, caring, facility This was our second stay. The staff members are professional and personable. The sales counselor,Tasha Williams, took a lot of time,to include follow up instructions,to ensure that I understood all of the paperwork required for my Mom's stay. She wanted me to be able to leave town without any worries. She greeted us at admission with a beautiful gift, and stuck with us thru out the day, providing some 'hands on ' assistance.A staff member,Teaco Washington, really went above and beyond during my Mom's stay. She paid close attention to Mom's patterns at home, and tried to duplicate those at Sweetgrass,i.e. went to bed and got up the same times she does at home, allowed Mom to help fold napkins (something Mom loves to do ).When I called to check,Teaco provided a detailed, involved account of her day. It was a major relief to have Mom at a place that was safe and reliable. When I visited, Mom it was evident that she was enjoying her stay, NEVER asked about returning home. I gladly recommend this facility !!! C.H.Singleton

My mother in law has been a resident at Sweetgrass for one and a half years. We have been very pleased with the care and attention that she has received. The staff has been very accommodating to her and to us. We feel welcomed every time we come to visit. We routinely find her engaged in group activities such as music, arts and crafts. Her care and overall well being is a priority. They also have community outings that help the residents to stay engaged and motivated. We recommend you consider this facility for your loved ones.
