Comfortable center for rehabilitation and care. Many great care takers. Nice sunroom and other activities to support restoration. Location is ironically convienent to the city, beach and the off beaten path.

I was pleasantly surprised and greatly blessed by the staff. Front the front desk to the administrator, my mother/ family were treated with highest regards! The facility is undergoing renovations, but the care is top-notch! The nursing staff and physical therapy paid attention to my Mother's needs(which is essential) after having a stroke and loosing your independence. The staff operates like an extension of family, making a very difficult time bearable. No one wants to leave their loved in the care of a facility, but Compass' caring staff members allowed me to sleep soundly at night. I am a nurse and my observations are different than others. My Mom is my only living parent and dear to my entirety. I would use there services again for her and my other family in this area. Sidenote, the renovations are coming along very nicely too

My daddy is currently here for rehabilitation. When we walked in here, you couldnt tell it was a nursing home/ rehabilitation center. It smelled/ smells GREAT! The first day, the staff understood the emotions we had and showed empathy. They shared their stories of their loved ones being in similar situations like daddy. I understand their system because Im allowed to ask questions & I get answers back. I cant leave out the cafeteria & custodians.... nor their rehabilitation center. Reading previous reviews & what Im experiencing now is like night & day! I highly recommend this place.

My mom spent about a month here for rehab and I can't say enough about how great the staff is. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and well kept. I am very pleased with the progress she made while working with the physical therapy team.

My mother was discharged from there last night. after they transported her to an out patient appt at Duke Medical Cebter. It was a follow up after her aortic valve replacement surgery. She was at Compass fir 2 weeks for rehab. Yesterday was her last full day insurance was covering her. She was gone for over 11 hours. During that time she was not given any food or water. They are understaffed and unprofessional. I would not reccomend this place to anyone I cared about. They also lost the 1 nightgown that they mistakenly took to the laundry . I told them I would do her laundry but they took that and never brought it back even after we repeatedly asked. When I called the administrator ,Nicole to complain she said she did not eat anything during that time period and she was fine. Immoral and unprofessional. Do not let anyone you care about stay here
