My father-in-law has been a resident at Broadmore for almost 3 years, and while he has always had good care, I've seen a tremendous recent improvement in him. Amber & I sat down to discuss what we could do for Carl. I found her to be very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. She came up with a plan that is a definite benefit for him. I've also seen a greatly needed increase in staff. Looking forward to working with the new director of nursing as well, Ashley strikes me as someone who won't let anyone get in the way of her patients care. I'm excited for the changes and improvements that are coming to Broadmore. This all takes time and is not an easy task, but Amber and her staff are definitely up for the challenge.

I have been involved with Broadmore for several months and I believe in the work that they are doing for this community and the residents. The Administrator works so hard with the families to make sure they have the support that they need to stay in their homes. The campus is beautiful, the staff are friendly and i enjoy being a part of this York community i can promote Broadmore as a place to take your family member to live and enjoy their lives. There is always an event planned for residents to take part of. Residents have an atmosphere of 'FAMILY'. I would recommend you go ad take a tour to see for yourself how happy the residents are !

I worked at Broadmore in 2017 and became pregnant shortly after. I worked until I was 9 months pregnant & could not take it anymore! The new executive director is a horrible manipulator and has done nothing but bring the business down even more than it already was! I quit without any notice because I was experiencing high blood pressure and was being placed in and out of the hospital due to my bp. I decided I would give it another chance after I gave birth. I went in and talked with Amber and immediately, she offered me full time on each shift. I explained that I only wanted prn but with all of her manipulative ways, by the time I left her office, I was taking on a let time every other weekend position. I figured it out and made a way to work my scheduled shifts. However, the kitchen personnel Patti, made my work days with her HORRIBLE! She is so rude and out right disrespectful, its SAD! Amber was made aware of the disrespect, but did nothing about it. And when I finally came to her and told her that I couldnt take it and that I was resigning, she told me to stay out of Pattis way and to grow up! If I care about my residents, I would stay. Not understanding that its HARD to work with someone who is belittling you and your work ethic who has never even given you a chance. Not to mention, she belittled me in from of the executive director and the ED smiled and brushed it right under the rug like she does everything else! The ED told me to just fuc**** go. And said that she was DONE, DONE. She is not a team player. She doesnt care about her residents. She told a coworker of mine to stop putting her all into this job when my coworker went to her and told her how she was frustrated and tired of being the only one doing her job! 4 ppl put their 2 week notice in the same week! The rooms are disgusting and one of the residents there was found with bed bugs in his room and all they did was tell him that once hes in his room, he has to stay in there. His room wasnt treated, nothing! His clothes were washed and dried on high heat if that matters. Overall, worst job Ive ever had! Wouldnt recommend my family to live there and absolutely wouldnt recommend any of my family or friends to work here!

My mom has been a resident here since October. I am so grateful we found Broadmore. She had a sudden and life changing accident three weeks after move-in and was wheelchair bound after returning to Broadmore in late December. She struggled greatly with medicine management and therapy services upon return. The upper management had been removed and there were on-going issues. The change in management was greatly needed. Amber Kuhn became the Executive Director, and the many needed changes have been addressed. We welcomed her with open arms and she has been very attentive to Moms needs, which some days can be many. Providing on-site OT and PT services have completely changed my mothers well being. She is no longer wheelchair bound and is walking independently with her walker. Her meds have been regulated as well and not consistently in pain. They have been patient and responsive to our needs. We couldn't have asked for a better facility for her and couldnt have begun to do this without them. The kindness and compassion of the staff has helped Mom adjust with her new life. The staff communicates any issues with us right away and answers or returns our calls. I attribute these many positive changes to Amber and her leadership skills. She and other staff put in many hours to provide the best facility possible. A huge shoutout to the nurses and Jamie for working tirelessly when my moms rooms were completely flooded by a burst pipe in May. Thank you Amber and staff for all that you do! I highly recommend Broadmore Senior Living!
