Uniontown Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center

Worked here for about 8 months. This was my first job as an aide (and just in general). Most of the aides didnt really seem to care about the residents or their needs. Management was pretty awful too. They would make a bunch of changes and not tell anyone until the last moment. Not to mention that my schedule would get changed without me even knowing. Went so far to the point where I had to start taking pictures of my schedule and then got told I was lying about the fact it got changed when I confronted them about it. The union wasnt the best either. Filed so many grievances yet never heard anything from them about them. The union never really tried until I started to threaten them with getting the police involved because they wouldnt give me my money for my vacation hours after my 2 weeks. I DO NOT recommend working here unless you wanna live in a hell for the rest of your career.

Wish I could give them a thousand stars. I have been a health care professional for over 35 yr: from being an Aid for Nurses, Paramedic, a Nurse, and now Master in Social work with hospice specialty. I have been in dozens of these kind of facilities in the tri-state area, and this is the only one that I would personally recommend and will use for my personal family. We live in the Pittsburgh area, but will travel to this facility when needed again. They are professional, hard working and caring. ( For anyone who is not satisfied I think they are looking for perfect; no place is perfect- this place tries to be,) this is THE PLACE TO GO-- they are GREAT !!!!! Any place that has multiple employees that have stayed here for decades this speaks volumes to the kind of caring place it is, for they are caring towards each other too. THANKS to EVERYONE, and for ALL EACH OF YOU DO.... From the Aids, Environmental services ( You guys REALLY ROCK !!! I have NEVER been in a place that does not smell of urine on at least one of their areas. NOT HERE, This place is so clean and tended to.) the supervisors, OT/PT, Nurses etc... Almost unbelievable/ a miracle the kind of care you provide, what you are doing here. Thanks for the un-chartable, un-billable, unseen care, thoughtfulness and attention that so many of the staff members bring to this facility. Best to you all, and deepest deepest thanks for the care of my family member ( who did gracefully pass away with care and dignity because of your staff) and for all the family members still with you THANK YOU

My mother was transferred there from hospital after a stroke. The staff was outstanding and professional to her and my siblings who were in and out visiting. The office staff was also excellent in their dealings with the family making the transition seem less. They made a terrible time for my my family as good an experience as possible! They deserve allot of credit for doing a really tough job very well! Thanks to them for everything.
