Richfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center

I can not say enough good things about the dedication and compassion of the people who work at Richfield. Nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, activities director, administration, reception, dining and custodial staff all go the extra mile to provide the best care they can for the residents and their families. Everyone is adept at what they do, and so thoughtful and kind.

We had a great experience! My mother was at Richfield on 2 separate occasions over the past 3 years and the staff was very knowledgeable and compassionate. The facility was clean and food was good. Would highly recommend. On the rehab side the staff was caring and professional.

My father has been at Richfield Healthcare and Rehab since April, 2019. I have been more than pleased with this facility. It seems more like a home than the many other skilled nursing sites that I experienced with other family members. It was by chance that he went here, and I am happy he did. The staff is like a family. They are polite, caring, and help each other out wherever it is needed. It is clean and does not have offensive odors. The food is pretty good too, as I have eaten several meals with Dad. It is not a brand new facility, but it sure gives a 'homey, country' feeling when I visit. Plus, Dad actually likes it here too!

The nurses and staff were really wonderful in providing excellent care for our mom while she was there. The physical therapy team did an excellent job. For that I would give 5 stars. I Am only giving 4 though because I feel like someone could have done a better job letting us know when appointments away from the home were. No one really ever contacted me to let me know so that I could be there with mom to hear what the doctor had to say. I would not let that deter me from using the nursing facility.

PEOPLE PLEASE BEWARE....This was a learning experience for us.....Do your homework and check out this facility before placing a loved one there. I will never again use this facility..... Staff was fine but the building is old and the environment was terrible. Our loved one was promised a private room, that never happened instead we ended up in a room with 2 other people and it was terrible, the bed was right in front of a window air conditioner, this was not a good situation. One of the other room mates had a tv blairing all day and night long, no one else even had a chance to watch or even listen to anything. This room should never have been set up for 3 people. You didn't even have room to sit when you wanted to visit. We had an incident where our loved one fell out of bed....12 hours later the family was notified....WHY did it take that long for notification. I hope this post will help some other family avoid the situation we had to endure for a week till we were able to transfer to another facility.
