My mother-in-law has been at Overlook Green for about 9 months. My husband (her son) and I have been very impressed with the care that she receives here. She seems happy and comfortable, which speaks volumes because she had gone straight from her own home of over 50 years into a totally new and unfamiliar environment. The staff is caring, personable, responsive, and kind. They have gone above and beyond during the Coronavirus pandemic, giving us the added reassurance that all is being done to keep our loved one safe. The staff at Overlook Green are true heroes!

My grandmother was a resident at Overlook Green for a year or so and during that time during visits my grandmother seemed to be doing ok there. We had the occasional call from Overlook staff complaining about my grandmother's occasional bad mood, but mostly it was fine. About 3 weeks ago, because of 1 complaint made by another resident's family member, Overlook Green mangement and staff decided that the best care for my grandmother with moderate dementia was to kick her out of their facility. Long story short, my family tried to talk and meet numerous times with the staff and management at Overlook to no avail.; they succeeded and my grandmother has been removed and placed in another home, per their recommendation, in a home nearby to what Overlook advised 'was best for a dementia patient [like my grandmother]'. Its been 2 weeks since my displaced grandmother has been in this 'Overlook-recommended' home and she has fallen twice and been hospitalized both times, been drugged to where she cannot eat or talk to my family any longer, and now has pneumonia and will start hospice next week. So if you're asking if I recommend Overlook Green, I do not. We apparently had the wool pulled over our faces in the beginning because Overlook has shown their true colors.

Placed my father in Overlook Green and when he died a week later I requested my security deposit back (as their contract stated I was entitled to get it back) and the manager told me, and I quote,( wow I can't believe you caught that your the first one to ever catch that)! He then went on to say you have to contact the main corporate office to get that refunded. When I did that they said you have to contact the local office. After re-contacting the same manager at overlook green he stopped taking my calls. At this point it was more than 30 days and knowing the law if you are not notified within 30 days in writing why a security deposit is not being refunded you can go to the courts and request two times the amount. When I called Overlook Green for my final attempt to get my security deposit returned I told the woman who answered my call (and would not connect me to the manager) that if they didn't have a check for me that same day I would take them to the majistrate and get twice the amount back. I received a call back and was told the check was waiting for me! So here's a company ripping people off when they are old and in distress don't use this place!Just saw their response and that is a ridiculous response! I was dealing with the director! He kept blowing me off and wouldnt give me my security deposit back until i threatened to take them to the majistrate. This was many years ago and other than them trying to steal our security deposit i cant complain about the care, although my father was only there a week before he died. Maybe the guy stealing security deposits is gone! Good luck!!

Throughout the process of finding a memory care residence for a family member, all of my interactions with the team at Overlook Green have been extremely positive. They have been caring, knowledgable, responsive, informative, and understanding. Their memory care residence is new, and includes lovely, secure outdoor space. Ultimately, I discovered that our family member was eligible for a veteran's residence, but we would have been very pleased to have them reside at Overlook Green.
