It's rough, it seems like the residents have a tough time staying clean and many of their needs not fufilled. I wish the residents could have more time to get outside activity.

I cannot give stars for level of care...since the man who I spoke to 2x [Alex I think]- about my brother maybe going there failed to call me back on Wed. 9/19/18 as he promised-- after he went to Belle Haven to do his own assessment on my brother's levels. This man from Penn Asst. Care assured me he had a room for my brother- but he had to do a visit first. I was in a very tight timeline since Belle Haven told us on 9/17 that my brother was being discharged on 9/21. I was panicking with my brother having no place to go... awaiting the promised call from Penn Asst. Care. As of today- he still has not called. However, the admissions manager from Belle Haven informed me today that this gentleman from Penn Asst. Care told her he had no bed for my brother after he visited him.... hmm. That's not what he told me during 2 calls. Not very professional or upfront.

My mother in law has been at Penn for a few weeks. She remarked 'they really seem like they care about you here' more than one time. The food smells like 'home cooking' and they are considerate of her dietary needs. The staff is friendly and helpful, responsive to phone calls and emails. So far, I couldn't be happier with how they have helped our family.
