Visiting Angels of Lewisburg PA has been providing caregivers for my husband for almost 3 months now. We are now using about 18 hours a day, 7 days a week including the overnight hours. The caregivers are professional, well trained, compassionate, conversational with my husband (which he enjoys) and kind. They have the skills both technical and social required of this unique job. It is not easy to walk into different homes and different situations and provide these services, all unique to the people and places they go. My husband has terminal cancer which has affected some of his cognitive functioning. They understand all of this. The visiting angels take care of everything with him as he is bedridden. He and they share smiles and greetings every day. They talk and laugh together. Caregivers feed, bathe, position and basically take care of all needs for my husband. The caregivers have given me the opportunity to take care of household work, run errands, and have some down time to rest or see friends. The Visiting Angels administrative staff keep me informed of my schedule, check in regularly to see if everything is working out OK, and truly care about how we are doing. I feel wrapped in a team of caregivers with the Visiting Angels. This is a difficult time for us and they are making it as good as possible.
