good experience here

My time here as a resident has been good. I've been treated very fairly. I don't have as many struggles as other people but I do have a lot of problems with emotional and mental issues. They help me deal with it and take time to listen to me about how I'm feeling. I feel they care and give a genuine effort to their patients.

This is by far the worst nursing home. My Grandmother was in the same clothes and dirty depends for more than 48 hours. I had to clean her up and change her myself. The place smells of urine and they are very understaffed. When i rang the call bell it took over 15 minutes to get a response. It is heartbreaking to trust that your loved one is being taken care of and you find out they are not. The other horrific incident I experienced is with my Grandmother's roommate. They had a fire drill but the staff was unaware it was a drill. I got my Grandmother into her wheelchair and moved her to the nearest exit. I checked on her roommate and she was still in bed. I heard the staff say don't worry about her leave her in bed. The door was closed and the red magnet on the door frame was moved to the bottom of the door frame. This indicates that the room has been cleared of residents. I confronted an aide and said the room is not clear. I was told it's ok she is a DNR. WHAT??? I am looking to have my Grandmother moved. Please do your research before placing your loved on in this nursing home. I am so upset and heartbroken with the care. To the staff if you're not in healthcare for the right reasons please get out. Treat your residents like you would treat your loved ones.

My experience here has been good. I am able to do things that I want. Friendly atmosphere, the care is great, and the nurses get me my meds on time.
