It's a good thing that I didn't read the reviews before I chose Mountain City for my husband. I guess it's true when they say that mostly unhappy people write reviews or employees who have a bone to pick. This nursing home took the most wonderful care of my husband. The staff are loving and compassionate. They always were there to help when we needed them. I had a family member show me the reviews right after he was admitted because they were concerned. In one instance, I needed to speak to the person in charge and he called me right back and even gave me his cell phone number if I needed him in the future. If you are looking for a nursing home, don't pass up Mountain City based on these reviews by these people who are either lying, or it has changed drastically since they wrote it.

This place is nicknamed God's Waiting Room for a reason. If you care about your family members don't send them there. I don't like giving bad reviews, but this place deserves it. I was at McDonalds and an employee there told me a lot of horrible things about this place, they recently have been giving out expired medication, residents are left in soiled briefs for long periods of time, bosses are sleeping around and partying with employees and those employees then get away with anything, and worst of all she said when she was putting away residents clothes she found a lady who fell out of bed there was blood everywhere and a fall was never reported or documented. She died 2 days later. If you have a family member question them about how they are treated and everything else.Don't say you weren't warned
