Fairview Manor

Had a loved one here for about 2 weeks. They provided great care, therapy was so helpful. The building and grounds are nice. Her only complaint was the food, but we are sympathetic to the fact that they serve a large amount of patients at once, and were offered several alternatives if something wasnt just right.

My husband has been here for about 2 months. He is only 50 but he is very ill. I was a little apprehensive because of the other reviews. I understand when things go wrong it's easy to write a bad review. I don't know how many bad reviews I have written because I was angry. You don't think to write a review if you are pleased with the situation. So I decided to write a positive review. Most of the nurses here are very helpful and friendly and caring. There are a few that are not that great or maybe they had a bad day but in my personal opinion that is few and far between. If there is ever a problem or if I have an issue I only have to speak to someone and they will help solve it. These people ( nurses, janitorial staff, food-service, ect) cater to my husband as if he were a king. The nurses check in on him all the time. They joke with him, they try to get him anything he wants (he has a very selective pallet so they go out of their way to get him the food that he likes and can stomach), they have multiple daily activities like Bingo and ice cream socials, to name a few. Every room has a beautiful view and you can decorated as you please. I even brought a mini fridge in. The entire building is kept very clean and doesn't smell like you would think a nursing home smells like. There is a hair salon, lots of 'common' areas, an outdoors area. This is truly a home away from home. Putting your loved one in a nursing home is a very hard and stressful time. I'm glad we chose Fairview Manor.

Terrible place do not put your loved ones the nurses yell and scream at the residents and dont care if they sit in bed if the resident cant feed there self they will put a tray in there room and take it away without even trying to feed them this place needs shut down !

My mother was placed there last month. It is awful!! The food is disgusting and the staff were rude and uncaring. We told them multiple times about her food allergies and they totally ignored us. She was throwing up for two days after her meals. We eventually brought her food since we couldnt trust them. I understand that they are understaffed, but that is no excuse for their unprofessional behavior.
