Aunt Pat is utilizing a 30 day respite/rehab stay at Mt Vernon. What a Wonderful Team of caring professionals working there to help smooth out the always difficult circumstances, especially during the current pandemic. I have never been to a nursing home without house cleaning. My dad has been there since October. His floors have NEVER BEEN CLEAN!!! I have asked several times for them to be cleaned. They told me the maintenance man does the cleaning and you have to put in a request to have it swept and mopped!!! I give in. I will bring a broom and mop in and do it myself! And forget about getting anything you need from them expect to wait anywhere from 1hour to 2 hours for a response or you have to ask 3 times before you receive any response.

I've been a care giver at My Vernon of Elizabeth for more than five years, and the compassion and consistency of the staff is unmatched. They really know their residents well, it's like visiting my patients in their home with their family.
