I cant say enough positive things about the staff at Providence Place Chambersburg. Amber and Katie spent hours working with our family as we considered placement for our family member. They were accessible during non-business hours and were knowledgeable and caring. They were helpful advocates as we worked with the hospital over several days. The thing that I appreciated the most was the reaction of all staff members when, after signing and starting the move-in process, we received news of a sudden opening at another facility that we felt was a slightly better fit for our family member. They remained 100% supportive and understanding, and volunteered to fax all needed information to the other facility for us. They also didnt charge us a penny. I wholeheartedly recommend Providence Place, especially their memory care unit. If your family member is physically healthy but in moderate dementia, their unit is much more like home than a skilled care facility.

This was the worst mistake of my life I put my mother-in law here .When she moved in they said how much they would work with her, they increased her meds so much she looked like a zombie, she was found wounding the halls by her daughter and had no ideal where she was. Her daughter heard her ask wear her room was the girl that worked there but her on a elevator and told her the room number, that when her daughter new it was her mother, and this is the best thing that happen there. My mother-in law fell and broke her arm, then fell 5 more time that week until she got brain damage. She went from living on her own to be bed ridden now two months later. when we were moving her out one of the staff made that she was happy to see her leave

Highly recommended for the elderly and always welcoming to family visitors including meal times. The staff is outstanding. They can care folks with dementia. One huge benefit over many other elderly care and retirement living is the Chambersburg location has regular Christian church services with outstanding pastoral care!
