As is always the case with moving a loved on from the life they knew to a Nursing Home/Assisted Living Facility, it's a time of emotion and imperfections, shall we say. No place will EVER be home! No place will EVER be 'perfect'. And it would be very easy to find flaw after flaw after flaw in the field on nursing homes. But I believe that most of the 'problems' seen by people are superficial; the food is bland, the hallways are narrow, a nurse scowled at my parent, etc. I will avoid those 'small' things in this review. My mother was moved from the hospital to Beaver Elder Care for therapy, approximately one month ago. After finishing her therapy cycle, we decided to keep her in Beaver Elder Care for her long-term place of residence. The staff is largely pleasant, informative and friendly, especially in light of their day-to-day challenges with working with those in great need. I have witnessed interactions with my mother that have been great; the team pushing her to go to activities, speaking pleasantly to her, helping her with remembering what has gone on.The facility, although no Taj Mahal, has an ease of access to it that allows for a small, quaint feel...not a massive medical facility. The outdoor courtyard is small, but peaceful, and the dining hall is large and spacious with plenty of room for many residents and guests to hang out and watch TV, play Bingo, eat, etc.I am pleased with Beaver Elder Care...and the food is not too shabby at all, either!

My husband and I decided on this facility for his short-term rehab care. We find the staff and administration to be caring and helpful and always happy to answer questions. The food is good. The therapists are committed to helping and encouraging residents to reach their goals. It's a small and cozy facility, all on one floor, and easily accessible. There are daily activities if that's what you want, or you can just rest if that's what you need. We are glad we placed him here. It's not close to home but it's worth the drive.

This nursing home is poorly managed & the staff treat their employees like slaves. I wouldnt recommend anyone to put their loved ones here yet alone work for them. I would give them 0 stars if possible

The staff in this facility were caring and appropriate with my mother who was a very difficult patient. The administration was obnoxious, rude and concerned only with reimbursement and the financial bottom line. I was screamed at and walked out on for questioning the administrator about an assessment made on my mother, and threatened financially by the same administrator. What a shame, I understand that money makes the world go round, but come on, have some class and empathy for families that are going through the worst times of their lives.
