Do NOT place your loved one in this community. The floor staff are NOT trained healthcare workers. They absolutely cannot deliver the care they promise. The risk you are putting your loved one in by placing them here is not necessary. There are so many other communities who actually still care and are actually trained healthcare professionals. All you have to do is tour un-announced or talk with current residents and you will see the sub-standard conditions they are living in.The previous management staff who had been there for years have all quit, with the exception of a few who are the main ones running it to the floor. The remaining staff are unfriendly and completely unprofessional. There is a new Exec way too often. always full of promises and there is never any follow-through and then they are gone! The one Nice Soul Nurse Debbie or Debby(Sorry for the misspelling of your name) is leaving for unknown reasons. All said was Exec Director June had something to do with it. Dont take my review as yours. Hopefully this building gets better Management and some people to really start caring for the patients. Shame on you June. Give Summerplace a good surprise visit like I said earlier and ask for a unscheduled tour. Youll see for yourself this place has no integrity as a company while visitors are not present.

Oh boy where to start. Everyone says this place is the most staffed. The reason its most staffed is because nobody here is actually certified. Summerplace doesnt require certification to work here. Their Churn rate is through the roof. Within one year theyve been through 8 Executive Directors. The current Exec Director June is all about Money. They charge you depending on how much your relative is needing assistance. The Assisted Living Side is much bigger than their Memory Care part of the building. They show no love to the Memory Patients. Parties are thrown on the Assisted Living side and they fail to invite any residents in the memory care facility even if theyre aware and want too. Summer Place promotes all of these extracurricular events happening but theyre just for show. When its time for a tour they ask the workers to throw some things on the table to make it look like theyve been interacting with the patients. Yesterday during the day their was only 1 Caregiver on the memory care side. Thank Goodness for Crystal showing up on time and doing her job well. While crystal was their she isnt certified to pass meds so patients went a whole day without their Meds. This is a multi million dollar company they invest no money into their building. Walk into the memory care and you have to plug your nose most of the time. Couches and chairs covered by blankets to cover the Urine stains on them. Residents are only limited to one serving each meal. If the resident is wanting seconds theyre denied and offered an alternative like a PB&J or Grilled Cheese. Many Negatives about this place These are just a few in the past month or two. If youre looking to spend $3,000-$8,000 a month for someone to help your loved one to the bathroom and room with a bed and a bathroom then this is your place. BUT, thats all youre going to be receiving within your monthly payment, Also make sure you have the money to keep your loved in the facility because your loved one could be on their death bed in their last days and Summerplace will send them right out of their Costly Home because they cant afford that last months rent. Stay away from the Toxic Spot. Hopefully they soon get an Executive Director that isnt about making money and is more about the tenants in their building. Spend Big Bucks else where because this place does not deserve your loved ones.

Im able to hear some of the young ladies talking about whats been occurring during work. I will be talking with my mother(My aunts POA) to have my aunt lifted and moved to a new facility. While eating Lunch with my aunt at in my most recent visit, the biggest dissatisfaction was over hearing that this Facility has recently had to drug test some of their Med Techs because of Residents medicine(Narcotics) gone missing. Are they just hiring anyone on the spot!!? On top of that one of the nurses Ive come close to knowing and liking is leaving this facility. This Facility is so unprofessional the Executive Director June sent one of her head nurses an email belittling her as a Nurse. she sent this email to other admin people as well. Unaware of the Situation June was handed a 30 Day resignation as well as a copy of the email she had sent out. Thank you Caregivers for talking so abruptly that I was able to form a new opinion here on your Facility. Its been a month or two since I was last here at this facility. The last visit was better. But, the only negative at that time was that their sink where their dishes are washed and cleaned was clogged up, almost over flowing. The look and the smell in the Dining Room was horrendous. One Worker at the time that is no longer there said the sink was like that for 4 days because their Maintenance man was on Vacation. The last thing to complain about today is on the way out of the facility a Resident stopped me on my way out. Nice Resident named Charles. Charles was asking me for assistance. He had some groceries in his van that he needed some assistance with. While Charles walked with me to his van and to his room he was explaining that most caregivers on his Assisted Living side are sad to say, Lazy or to interested to their conversation they are unable to help. He did mention Two Caregivers he rarely sees but do an outstanding job. So Kudos to the girls names DT and Linda.

I was extremely impressed with the level of care and compassion that was shown during my visit to Summerplace. The imminent need for such services isnt something we think about for our loved ones until the need arises. The staff was very helpful in explaining the transition and what to expect. It was very clear that they cared about the quality of life for their residents. I would recommend to anyone interested in learning more about Assisted Living at Summerplace to schedule a visit and consultation so that you can see the community and meet the staff. 5 stars!

I recently was helping a family member navigate the ins and outs of senior living with all the choices and details. I had no idea what that all entailed! My uncle has been in his home for over 4 decades and this was a real change both physically and mentally. Andrew and Rachel were both professional and courteous. They answered all of our questions. In fact they told us things that we would not have even thought to ask !?! They really gave us the whole picture and I truly felt they cared about the needs of my loved one. Its rare in this day and age to actually find people in any line of work that take the time and do not rush you and answer every question you might have with patience and knowledge. I highly recommend you sit down with one or both of them if you find your loved one needs assisted living. I will continue to sing their praises to anyone I meet who may be looking for such a community.
