They violate the hepa laws. Are rude when you call. Their social worker goes and does things without finding out the whole story. Allowed a abuser to take over care of a client. Dont put your loved ones here please!!!

My childrens dad is there right now. He had a stroke in August. They stopped his physical, occupational, and speech therapy last Thursday. He is a diabetic. He has a sore on his hip and has not been given any antibiotics even after repeatedly asking for them. He wants to get transferred to his home near his primary care physician, but they tell him he can not because his insurance will not cover that. Well please explain why he is still there and not given any physical, occupational, or speech Therapy at all now in 5 or 6 days? When he wants to see a doctor, the doctor is on vacation for over a week with no back up physician? He has nothing against the staff at all, and he is thankful for what they can do, but why is management keeping him there when clearly they are not providing therapy for him any longer? They told him last week he could see his doctor today, then said that there was no transportation first due to the Pendleton Round-Up, then said his insurance would not cover the medical transport. Really? He works for Walsh Trucking and has very good insurance. Then a person (will not disclose his name), says that well we need you to see a surgeon about your hip infection. Well, why did they not transfer him to his personal physician a week ago or way back weeks ago, because he IS diabetic, and has had this happen before when his hip was giving him so much pain and NOT healing, and given NO antibiotics and NO consult from their physician? Oh that's right, their physician was on vacation. Saturday night he asked to be taken to hospital to have his hip checked. That did not happen. Yesterday, Monday, September 17, 2018 they said they gave him an antibiotic. One, excuse me, one antibiotic? Then he found out later that they just said that. What in the heck is going on?He tells me that the people that personally take care of him are so nice and just the best people, and are very caring, polite, professional, and cheerful, and responsive to his personal needs. He tells me the kitchen staff is fantastic and he has enjoyed many wonderful meals, even including staff and others that make whole dinners from scratch! He has not one single complaint there at all. But... ...at the same time, if he is no longer getting any therapy at all for his stroke, and there was no doctor at all to help him in over a week, and was not allowed to advocate for his own care, then what is going on? ...and clearly he has asked repeatedly for antibiotics for his hip because of his diabetes he is very much concerned for his own life, did they not allow him to go to the hospital or a doctor at all while the other doctor was on vacation? I would really like to understand that reasoning. But he has nothing but good things to say about the caregivers who have been so kind to him, and the employees, and kitchen staff, and the chef, and the other patients there. Possibly I am not getting all the information, but would sure like to understand.

I cannot wait for my relative to leave! She is in there for rehabilitation after breaking some bones! The lady in her room fell flat on her face in the early hours of the morning because she needed the toilet and no one came to help her after both of them had been pushing their buzzers and finally my relative yelling and shouting for help when the lady had fallen! She said they are rough and not caring at all, unlike the treatment she had at the hospital which was amazing! The food is awful, so I am taking in her own food. Very sad that this is the only rehabilitation place in this town that accepts Medicare....what choice do people have when all they have is Medicare for insurance? I feel for the patrons who are living there, they all seem so sad, and the times I have been there, staff don't interact with them at all just left alone... :(

If I could have given zero stars I would have. This place is a joke. I heard ' I don't know' more than anything else from the staff. The food was horrific and portions were so small. My dad was constantly hungry and asking for me to bring in food. It was lliterally the bling leading the blind. The only nice experience was from the therapy staff whom didnt work for them directly. The nurse thought my dad was there for a stroke, my father did in fact have a stroke only 40 years prior. They knew nothung if gis histrory nor did they attempt to learn. Terrible place...

I had a relative there and she loved it. These families that complain should just probably take them home and take care of them their selves, but Im sure they wont, its easier then criticize than actually take care of there family member. A lot of families came in to help the staff take care of there loved ones, or hire a private duty caregiver. I was greatfull for all the staffs hard work. I ate meals with my relative and the food was good.
