I am posting this from my experience with this facility because when I was researching possible homes for my mother all I read were positive reviews... and positive was not my experience here. My mother spent 18 days total here. Her care level was obviously higher than what the facility was able to provide and should have been apparent from the beginning, yet her needs continued to be ignored no matter how many times my family tried to advocate. Nobody took notes and the staff does not communicate. We would have to repeat falling incidents to the caregivers constantly because they just don't talk to each other. My mother had difficulty feeding herself and we requested soft food MULTIPLE TIMES. One of the soft meals provided was a Cheeseburger cut into pieces. This is unacceptable. The girls that work here are wonderful and I know they are just doing what they are told, but there is not a whole lot of one on one care here because of the amount of residents and only having 1-2 CA's on shift + attending their other duties including dishes and laundry for all residents. They are short staffed and the turnover rate is very high. (Understandably so.) The only Administrative person that really acted like they cared was the head nurse and it was quite obvious that her plate was overflowing. Like I said, My mother spent 18 days here and administration did not even send a single flower or sympathy card.

Guardian Angel Homes forces their employees to come to work sick, with no regards to the residents sensitive immune systems. The caregivers are poorly trained and try to do the best they can with the knowledge they have. The employees are afraid to call in sick in fear of loosing their jobs. In fact, the are instructed to come to work while sick and to use mask while providing resident care. The employees are forbidden to speak with family members as it pertains to their care and behaviors. There has been multiple falls that are poorly documented. Injuries that go untreated, and excuses made when concerns are comforted with management. There was an employee who overdosed while working. And employees were encouraged to lie about the time of events that lead up to the overdose. Theres a lot of cover-ups and lies that are affiliated with Guardian Angels Homes. Not to mention the high turn around. Staff is never the same; and the ones who are there are burnt out. I would never bring my loved one to this place. They are neglectful.
