My grandma stayed there and it was nothing like it was supposed to be...I am about to give you an honestly poor review, but please don't think that there aren't some very good people working here because there are some fantastic staff, but the on the whole the place was inadequate and caused pain and suffering. They were VERY understaffed!! My grandma was crying in pain waiting as long as eleven and and half hours for her medications. She was staying in a room at the end of the hall so she always got cold, old food and the staff even lied to her saying that they didn't have coffee and other common items whenever it suited them because they didn't want to go get anything for the patients. DIABETICS BEWARE...THIS IS NOT A DIABETIC FRIENDLY FACILITY!! They don't keep track of carbs and made it very difficult for my grandma to use her insulin pump. The t.v. in her room wasn't working and they never fixed it. There is literally nothing to do in that place so t.v. is very important, and NO ONE CARED! Her t.v. just screeched a high pitched whine and was nothing but static and the screen was so tiny too. It was annoying even for me!! Overall, I feel really bad that my grandma had to stay there because it is a terrible place that feels like a long-term waiting room. It really sucked, but then to make matters worse THEY SENT HER HOME HEALTH CARE PAPERS TO THE WRONG PLACE and now she is going to suffer at home without the help she needs. If you can help it, don't send your loved ones to this place until Umpqua Valley Nursing and Rehab make some changes and pray you don't end up having to go there yourself before then...
