Somerset Assisted Living

Had a Jafra 63rd birthday party.

I have been in there several times and everyone seems to be on edge and not friendly. If you are planning to take your loved one there save yourself the hassle in not bringing your loved one here! There was a gentlemen that was very helpful and attentive. I believe he was the assistant administrator. From what I observed they had this guy all over and He seemed to have a big heart because I saw him caring for the residents and listening to their needs but besides this I was not impressed with the overall building and the care that I saw. The staff looked overworked and overwhelmed and it showed in their performance. They were not very friendly when I came in. In fact I was not greeted at all. I was treated like I was a nobody. So again beware in bringing your loved one here because other then the assistant administrator being helpful I would not recommend this place to anyone and someone should look at this place further like Adult Protective Services or an ombudsman. I also forgot to mention there is a high turnover, the place reaks of urine in the hallways, and has a non welcoming environment. In my opinion you are better off taking your loved one and spending their money or your money somewhere else because Somerset in my opinion is not all what they make it out to be.

Love everything about this community. The staff are amazing and truly care about the residents.
