I liked the nurses however the administrator not so much. When covid started i asked if the facility would let me know if there are + cases. She said it would be hippa violation. I thought about pulling out my dad, a week later, i get a letter stating they would let us know. Fast forward a couple of months i am not getting accurate info on cases. I was told they had 2 cases, state page documented 5. She got mad when i wrote on ama form lied to about accuracy of covid cases. So i asked her how many cases she said 2 not knowing i had info, then i got 2 employees and another just tested +. We were shut out from visiting, so being truthful was a must. I just pulled him out. They said they need 28 days from a positive before visitation opened up. The home brought the virus in and kept families from seeing loved ones. They could of found a way for visitors like all the other businesses adapted to keep workers safe.

Ranch wood nursing home is very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Administration and nursing staff is not helpful. A lot of unanswered call lights, tasks were too much for nursing staff to do (empty urinal, stand by walking, etc), one nurse even threw a box of tissues at me. When admin was notified, investigations were never complete. My girlfriend made multiple calls that were never returned. Zero communication about resident information to my girlfriend. My personal information was given out to someone on my list of people not allowed to know things about me by a nurse. So violations of HIPPA. The list could go on and on about this place, the only good thing about this place is one aid who truly cared and took care of me and all her residents. Other than that, very rude and careless staff.

I have lived here for 6 weeks going home tomorrow. The staff has treated me like family and with respect. Just like every employment situation there are 1 or 2 that need to find a different job but I don't believe this is a norm. I have never felt threatened here. I have been on 5, the majority like Kandyce, Tennessee, Kelly, Larissa, Carla, and so many more have heart's as big as all outdoors. They treat you with kindness and love. The rehabilitation is fantastic! Amber and Kerie are wonderful and truly know their job. I am walking out of here tomorrow, something a doctor told me I might never do. I think I could write a book on all the good that has happened to me while I was here. Don't let a few crabby apples spoil your bunch. These folks are wonderful.
