Courteous and kind staff. Lights answered in a timely fashion. Good meals. Nurse aides work hard to help you and they are interested in further education to fulfill those goals. Clean building no lingering odors, no thieving or fighting. Bingo is intense and not missed by the regulars! Being a former ombudsman I've seen and scored many homes, and although several areas need to be tweaked, I would have to say that this is the cleanest, safest, and best personal care home I've ever seen. There are several tweaks as I said earlier, but I'm not going to list them because things change around here all the time as far as improvements go. Horrible and hostile work environment, extremely unprofessional administration and nursing coordinators. The staff is also lacking in professional courtesy and there is constant juvenile antics at play on the floor. As far as resident care, I would not put my family there...

My experience at southern oak's was wonderful My Grandmother was so verySick My family was there about two weeks and I can't say enough about the staff and the people who live their love you all
