You cant imagine the filth, the smell, and the heartbreaking neglect. My mother was there to strengthen her body, to stay about 2 weeks. I removed her in 3 days. The furniture was old, and I dont mean a little. I mean horribly broken down and old. When I repeatedly showed up unannounced, I would find her sitting with no water to drink and no sheets on her bed. I sobbed every single day. I hated myself for it. I wanted her out immediately but was trying to empty her house and move her with me out of state. I had no help. I was between a rock and a hard place. This place actually had more stars than the others when the hospital had me choose. She was physically and completely unable to have been with me those theee days. There was a nurse whose name I cannot remember who was so hateful and mean that I was certain she couldnt possibly be employed anywhere other than this facility. For those three awful days, I had my Mothers neighbor drop by unannounced several times as well. She once found my Mother trying to eat a sloppy joe on plain bread. No one was there to help. She had dropped it all over herself and couldnt get a single bite into her mouth. The neighbor helped her eat. I called each night to find out how she was and whether she was sleeping. There were always people sitting and crying out for help and no one to come to their aid. They would call to me when I walked by to tell me they were dirty and ask me if would I clean them. Sadly, the smell affirmed what they said. When I got my Mother to my home out of state, hospice reviewed her records and found they had been giving her a lot of Benedryl. She didnt have allergies. The nurse said thats what a nursing home does to make patients sleep. It explains my Mothers confusion. The day before she was to leave I showed up to find an aide (I think) trying to navigate my Mother to her chair. I grabbed Mother and helped. She said shed caught my Mother before shed hit the ground. I didn't believe her then and I still dont. There are no notes to confirm. Little wonder. Why there werent two people to take her to the bathroom, or to have a device to help hold her, I cant imagine. I encourage you to do anything you can to avoid leaving your loved one here for any length of time. Those three days will haunt me the rest of my life. I cant go back in time. I write this to save you this heartache.

More to come after cleared by attorney if that tells you anything. If YOU wouldn't stay some place, don't place your elderly relatives there either. That's all I have to say at this time.
