Steven L. Korell

They killed my Grandpa Korell. He was 92, healthy, strong as an ox, living at home by himself, proud of his recent checkup where the doctor said 'Get outta here, you 17yr old' (referring to his heart), but one day he forgot to take one of his meds which left him weak. They took him to Share, which was supposed to be temporary, to regain his strength. I visited him and he was healthy, dragging the walker they provided behind him, he was flirting with the nurses, I asked when he could leave? They said soon. Before soon could happen, they gave him diabetes meds (he didn't have diabetes). This made in gravely ill and very weak. So weak that he fell and broke his hip, thereby requiring an even longer stay. During this extended stay, another resident became I'll with something terrible (they never would tell me the whole truth about it), but instead of quarantining the ill resident, they quarantined the entire wing, so eventually everyone in that wing would get sick with it, including my Grandpa. To top it off, I was there during this event too and got a look at some of the toilets. Grandpa had his own room, but shared a bathroom with another gentlemen who apparently sprayed feces all over it. Grandpa said the staff wouldn't clean it up, so guess what, I DID. Now with the entire wing getting sick, this meant he had to stay even longer. Next time I visited, they told me he was getting irritated with them so they put him on meds that turned him into a vegetable. I started to complain, but they threatened not to let me back in. There is so much more to this story, but what was supposed to be a couple weeks to regain his strength, turned into a year of neglect and torcher and somehow he died of a heart attack.

Visited this place many times. It is kept pretty clean and the residents seem to have activities in the week to keep them busy.
