West Chester Assisted Living and Memory Care

With life on lock-down and the situation beyond challenging, everyone at WCAL has been extremely helpful in expediting my Dad's move into the facility. He is excited to be there and we look forward to his / our relationship with everyone there as life returns to normal in the, hopefully, not too distant future.

My church had a service at West Chester Assisted Living on Sunday. The service was wonderful. Worshipping with the people who live there was a blessing for me. Both of my parents are with the Lord but I feel that the people at West Chester can fill the void. I want to volunteer at the facility, employees there are kind helpful. The Lord has blessed me!

I recently toured this building with my mother, as she is getting ready to make her move to an Assisted Living facility, and we were really happy with what we saw and experienced.The building is clean and the staff were really nice and helpful, every question we had we felt we got an answer. I feel that we met everyone as we toured, from the Executive Director to the Maintenance Director and even the housekeeper that would clean my mothers room, everyone seemed to be out in the halls doing something and were so nice and welcoming to us. It was a very warm atmosphere.We have toured several buildings in the past few months and West Chester Assisted Living has been, by far, the best and most memorable experience we have had. We were even given a free lunch so my mom could sample the service and it was the best food we have had during these tours. The kitchen was staff were welcoming and warm also. They made sure my moms food was prepared as she liked it and that she had everything she needed. There were multiple options for her to choose from and even chicken tenders for my son! Overall we were very pleased and Im certain, that when she is ready, my mom and I will definitely choose West Chester Assisted Living!

I just read the review written by Christina S. and could not agree more. I was going to write a review myself, but she nailed all of my familys complaints. A few staff members were caring and helpful, but overall the management and staff have no idea what they are doing. There were medication mess ups. The food is gross. They claim to check up on the residents so many times per day but I would challenge that. They had rules the residents had to abide by but they would rewrite them for their benefit. Please DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO LIVE HERE! If I could have chosen zero stars, I would have.Funny how there was only a response to the good review...

Disappointing. My family had such high hopes given shiny new facility. Unfortunately shiny and new is best part by far. Way too expensive for no services. My uncle and family were sold a story of great caring staff and wonderful activities and whatever food pleases you. None of this applies.I thought my husband was kidding when he stated they fed his uncle slop, but no joke their friends sit around hoping they will have guests searching for a condo so they will get a decent meal.He thinks most of the nurses and helpers are nice, but they are completely unorganized and barely ever follow through with things. My uncle feels lucky he doesn't need the help and plans to stay, but my family is searching just in case it gets even worse.Hopefully corporate reads this and improves something. Administration must be brand new with no experience. I don't believe the other reviews are even real. Should have known they barely have any guests for a reason.
