Ohio Valley Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

My mom was admitted with a broken femur at the end of January. They repeatedly forgot her meds. They let her lay in bed with extremely low blood sugar for hours! She began coughing a week into her stay and once they found that it wasn't pneumonia, they didn't care about it anymore. She coughed the entire rest of her stay, and is still coughing. She was not allowed to put weight on her leg at all for the majority of her stay, but would have to wait sometimes 20 minutes for help to go to the bathroom. She started going without help, so they marked her a level 0 so they wouldn't get in trouble. There is so much more! 4 days after she was released, she fell again and broke her pelvis. They would not accept her into their care because she already owes them money. They did not tell their therapy people that the doctor had upgraded her to 'weight bearing as tolerated', so she had NO therapy to help her learn to walk with a healing leg before she left. It was not the therapy group's fault, but they should have been informed! Do not send your loved ones here. Some of the nurses and aides are wonderful, but this place is a joke! Imagine what happens to people that can't say anything!

Great facility. We have had family member here for care and they were very well cared for. They also make an effort to connect with the community on a regular basis and offer family friendly activities. Today we went to their open house/holiday party. Treats, reindeer, Santa, and a great time for the family.

I have no experience with the actual facility, but the home health care people that come out for my mother are superb. They are kind and compassionate, very patient and personable with her even when she doesn't want to cooperate. They genuinely care for her and her situation.

Staff is very attentive. Extremely clean and safe environment for residents and visitors.

This is the Finest Facility for any of your Loved ones to stay at, short term to Long term! Everyone knows everyone here.
