My mother in law has been there for only six weeks. She was not put in apartment that she paid for and now is being charged more, thermostat didn't work for weeks, her curtain rods and curtains still have not been hung up, Dr visits and medication changes without notification to family even though she has dementia, is not her own decision maker and we are her Healthcare POAs, doesn't get the food she orders, issues with staff saying they will provide care and then don't return. I have been told multiple times that the Director of Nursing would call and we have never received a call. Had a message from the Administrator who said she would call back, still waiting for that call. Had a message from the Chef who said for me to call back, I did and left a message and still have not heard back. We can't go and talk to anyone in person due to infection precautions. The facility is lovely from the outside but it really makes you wonder what is going on inside.

Not impressed with the competence of the staff. I have come to believe that the management lacks knowledge and expertise in long term care which is what my mom needs. As the result of that it is not possible for the rest of the staff to provide the appropriate care or be accountable. I think that the focus is on assisted living and that the long term care unit exists to draw people into assisted living. People are more likely to choose a place based on the ability to transition into a higher level of care when it becomes necessary. I am aware of the frequent turnover in nursing staff which reflects directly back on management. I have extensive experience in long term care in 2 states. My hope is that at some point the regional leadership will pay attention to the record of public complaints to the state department of health and the online reviews, they will care about reputation and possess the required knowledge to initiate changes. The best feature is the aesthetic environment. It is a beautiful facility and does not look like an institution. So the decision was made to remain and family will visit every day to ensure appropriate care is being provided to our loved one.

Such a bad place to be. Takes forever to get an answer on anything. Therapist dont care for patients, or take how they are doing into consideration. I would find another place if coming here. Food is horrible and had to bring own food to relatives several time. Cant believe how bad this place has got.

My mother was at this facility and the care was amazing! Yes we had sum bumps in the road but with communicating with the director James Curran and staff we were able to work through . Thanks to the special nurses (you know who you are) thanks for caring for my mother!!! Great place to stay! Thank you St Clare!

Facility is very clean and pleasant once you enter, huge management turn over and nursing staff turn over- front desk is not manned every day- all day- medications are not given in a timely fashion. Charting is not up to date/ food is a constant issue- MIL is a handful, but we have had issues since we moved her in only reason she is still there, complaints at other facilities are worse- this is a terrible issue city wide- refusal to bath, take meds or eating has never been reported to family members, lack of proper communication is ridiculous- follow up with staffing and management is almost non existent.
