My parents have lived at Wesley Woods in Assisted Living for one year now. Initially I loved the place- its new, lovely and comfortable. Food is good. People are friendly. But, I have found that, of late, a lot of things are slipping through the cracks. A brand new bedspread disappeared and when I questioned it, I got a shrugged shoulder. Again and again. Likewise, clothes go missing but unfamiliar ones show up in the closet. Everyone says, well these things happen. BS. Take some responsibility! This morning, I called with a few simple questions, but it took two hours to get one answers. Its tough to get a live person on the phone. Im still waiting for four individuals to return my calls and discuss the other issues... its been hours. But, this morning a line was crossed. It involved a gross lack of internal communication which caused Mom to miss an important doctor appointment. The result was that: A: Mom needed the appointment but didnt go (it had to be rescheduled into two separate appointments, or wait a month for a long-enough time slot). B: The doctor was inconvenienced and will probably charge us. C: The person hired to pick her up and transfer to the appointment wasted two hours and will also charge for her time. My additional out-of-pocket for this screw-up is an estimated $200-$300! But, its about the missed communications - which I had verified with everyone involved. They say everything is in the schedule or in the computer. That may be true, but it doesnt help if nobody looks! My trust in these people has fallen. Very disheartening.

The worst! They only care about money. Staff is involved in care of patients but management decides everything, whether good or bad for the patient
