I am a very experienced chef and former Dietary Manager with over 25 years experience in health care. I took a part time job at The Inn At University Village in the Dietary Department as a cook. During orientation we was fed lunch from their kitchen. I took the Salisbury Steak and Baked Potato. I was so disappointed by the meal. Frozen Salisbury steak that had been streamed...no flavor.....Cold Baked Potato...the butter would not meltMy first day in the kitchen .....the kitchen was very dirty...not working dirty....dirty from no sanitation trainingNo standardized recipes No production sheetsNo portion control Frozen Lasagna Frozen Macaroni and cheese I was not given any serving times till I actually forced the issueI was told by one cook 'I don't want to train you'Who tells a new person that ?There is no training procedures Would not recommend this place The residents pay premium price and the food is sub standard
