What a great place, the staff and residents are well taken care of. The best place in Eaton for anyone's loved one.

I have been an employee for 4 years on March 17th. I went from working Ashift to Bshift. My coworkers and management arent just employees. We are like family, we care for one another truly. Teamwork oriented employees are the best to have and we sure have a great bunch. I have been an aide since 2013 and this has been the most organized place to work thus far. For patient care I feel as if my residents are my family as well. We are a small facility with a good patient/staff ratio. I believe my residents would say the same when you can tell the staff cares, they sleep better. All around I could brag about every little thing but until you bring your loved one in for myself to take care of and others, you truly dont understand the family oriented and teamwork oriented facility. Couple quotes I go by as an employee:Teamwork makes the dreamwork!Do unto others as you would want them to do unto youThank you ! -Kourtni Helmig3/17/16-Present STNA employee

My older sister came here after a fall, she developed bed sores from not being moved as she's supposed to be, I cannot say how unhappy I was with the staff for this

I was, until recently, a floor nurse at The Greenbriar, usually stationed on the Rosemont and GreenOaks units. The staff are excellent and professionals at what they do, from dietary, housekeeping, maintenance and all the way through to the nursing staff. Each person works diligently and attempts to provide the best possible care. Unfortunately the facility has and continues to be woefully understaffed. The facility has a high turnover not only in floor staff, but in the management positions as well. In less then a year at my time at The Greenbriar, there have been 2 administrators and 2 Directors of Nursing. The current administrator is overseeing all three facilities under the corporation that owns and operates them. In the interview process of being hired for a position at any of three facilities, youre enticed with perks and the promise of an attendance pay bonus which after youre hired corporate attempts at every turn to prevent you from obtaining. They have cameras stationed throughout the building for resident safety , but is mostly used as a device to do surveillance on the staff. They use this as s means of intimidation and the moral among the staff is very low. When youre treated as children and possible criminals it defeats any motivation you may have. Before placing your loved one in any nursing facility I highly suggest touring the facility unannounced so you may see the way things actually operate. I also suggest touring at night as shifts are totally different. Dont allow management to give you a guided tour that skips over some areas they dont want you to see or know about. As with any facility there are staff that are professionals and care about each and every resident and do their best to provide your loved one with the quality care that, that nurse or aid can provide. Of course theres always the few thats only there to collect a paycheck. Thats anywhere unfortunately. But when it comes to management, their job is operations and staying at or below budget, period. Until there is health care reform on the state and federal levels, understaffing will be a chronic issue at ANY nursing facility. Just know that for the most part, the staff try their best to care for your family. God bless.
