One of the best places to work. I've never seen employees and residents treated so graciously. There is some amazing leadership in the community that are all there for patient centered care. The really work hard at making sure the residents that live there feel like they are a part of something great and not their to just live out the rest of their days. I'm truly honored to be a part of this organization. (I do not speak on behalf of anyone at OTTERBEIN cridersville, or anyone of the ministry.)

UPDATED: after asking for the squad and being denied and asking to wait to be discharged. on 4/16 My father passed away due to lack of attention to his needs. My heart is forever broken. UPDATE: Seeing as they've removed my other review in attempts to block feedback to their potential new patients I have to place a review here.I wish I could give this place less stars. To give contex- My father was transferred here from Rehab from Cleveland Clinic based on the ratings we seen. HOWEVER , we and others weve spoke with there have had horrible experiences. To say they provided care is not accurate! My father was there for 6 weeks in the rehab side and he has declined rapidly. They said he was not progressing with rehab after 4 weeks and wanted to send him home. I made mention I thought something was wrong because of the rapid decline- not eating, drinking and in a lot of pain. The doctor refused to check or send him to get looked at. We ended up calling the rescue squad to come get him but they wanted to have us wait so we would have to wait for their paperwork. Basically, they cared more about renting out the room than the patient. Come to find out my father had a hernia that was blocking food- medicines, and causing a lot of pain. He developed a UTI that turned into a kidney infection because the medicine was getting stuck. Because of the pain he couldn't do treatment. He also had the flu.. but none of this mattered in their report of 'not progressing with treatment of rehab' they simply wanted to kick him out instead of caring.I am not expecting someone to take complete care of my father. My mother or I were in there every evening after work to see my father and all day on the weekends. Yet, he had bed sores in multiple areas of his body because he was not turned during the day. He was left in wet/soiled depends... my family and I often changed him when we were there because no nurses were to be found. The students there were often allowed to participate in care yet left my father without his oxygen on for hours!!!! Which set him back even more with his brain injury. They forgot to give him his blood pressure medicines. They didnt take him to dinner many days. My father has brain cancer and has been unable to fully communicate and since he wasnt the squeaky wheel .. he definitely didnt get the oil. Its so sad how patients who cant communicate are treated. Its inhuman! They are so short staffed it took over 30+ mins many times when we pushed a call light in emergencies. I feel bad for the few great nurses that are employed there.I never leave negative reviews but Im hoping this will save someones life. Do NOT send your loved ones here, By the way, we requested meetings with the head nurse and therapy to resolve this issue.. to simply ask they please provide care for my father when we werent there. But instead of helping they just wanted to discharge him.We are at the ER now with my father because of the care he received here and The head nurse Heidi only wanted to discharge him before she called the ambulance (while my father was in agonizing pain) so she could be sure to resell the room.Attached are just a couple of the photos of bed sores- bruises that my father developed while there. Many on his back and bottom area as well. This is sickening and they should be ashamed of themselves.UPDATED: after asking for the squad and being denied and asking to wait to be discharged. on 4/16 My father passed away due to lack of attention to his needs. My heart is forever broken.
