VA Cleveland Regional Office

Google makes me give at least 1 star - I would have done zero. So I hurt my knee requiring surgery. I went to the ER and they billed the VA. The VA denied it because I did not get pre-approved to go to the ER. The VA also said to wait 2 weeks for surgery (torn tendon, displaced knee cap). Resubmitted the ER claim because it should not require pre-approval, and they denied it again because I had gotten insurance 5 days AFTER I went to the ER (I got other insurance so I could get the surgery done). This is the lack of competence that can be expected.

Horrendous. The worst I have ever received in my 53 years. Except the dental, which was good. The phone calls trying to reach anybody human put you on hold for literally HOURS! The claims department ignores facts, authorizations, and denies an absolute unbelievable amount of PCP AUTHORIZED TREATMENTS, and when shown, then states, send it to your PCP instead of authorizing it. (You denied it, so you should read the proof of the authorization!) HORRENDOUS TREATMENT to disabled veterans! The worst conduct to disabled veterans I've ever seen in claims! I stated I was a 100% IU disabled veteran. Got a paper back stating, and I quote 'NOT 100%, 80%, permanent and total.' As if the 100% IU that I stated accurately wasn't a factor that I am paid at 100% permanent and total IU and my measly 80% rated but 100% paid permanent and total didn't matter. Wow! Very disgusting behavior and is being reported to WASHINGTON DC. These claims people need fired!!!! Just horrible. Denying authorized treatment then stating their denials aren't worth fixing and it's now somebody else's problem to fix instead of them, who denied it! Disgusting treatment of those of us who served honorably and are left disabled because of it. Putrid and filthy disregard to those of us in absolute misery from service connected disablilties. Worse than 3rd world country behaviour.

Absolutely absurd! Theres not enough space here to even come close to beginning to explain the nonstop recklessness of how my issues have been handled by the VA so far! Im defeated
