The Southwest Networking Group meets there every Wednesday morning at 7:30 and we have such a nice time there. The room is excellent they serve us coffee with a smile and the residents always greet us good morning as we walk in the door.

Love the residents and the facility is nice, too bad the workers have cliques and they don't keep the good staff members.

My mother has been here for 2 years now. Since first coming I have seen a decline in the care that is given. some policys are not explained in the beginning which causes problems down the road. The aids here always seem to just be wondering around or sitting when Ive been there. They dont seem to do very much. There is way too little help for the residents. They need to have more nurses to attend to the residents. When visiting i have found not one nurse in the memory care unit and maybe if lucky there is one aid wondering around not doing much of anything but on their phone. There is not much activities for residents so they are to just sit idel. Only activities are when it involves spending their money. There is way toooo much sugar foods offered. Each meal comes with a dessert which is always at dining even before the meal is prepared. This is terrible since most residents deal with diabetes. Ive never seeen fruits offered which i was told was to start happening. It seems they just like to have the residents go to their rooms after dinner so there is nothing to deal with. There is no compasion here. It seems I am finding since you first come in after there awhile, you are just forgotten about cuz they have your money and are only looking for new residents for new money to come in. Promises are not kept here. Most residents are just left in a chair to rot.

I highly recommend Danbury. All of the employees are so nice and I believe go above and beyond what they need to do. My mother was there for almost a year and I never once worried about the care that she was getting. Unfortunately she passed away on 11/5/18 at 92 years old due to a stroke. I would like to thank each and everyone at Danbury for her great care.
