My 94 y/o dad lives here. I was nervous sending him after the publicity. I visited him there in May of this year. I was pleasantly surprised. He is happy there and they have a lot of activities (he has his mind so enjoys such things). Nursing staff was plentiful (both nurses/CNAs) and when he put on his call light he never waited long. I went to a care conference for him also. They were very engaged and genuinely want to do the right thing. He says the food is good. Good food is exceedingly important at those ages when there isn't a lot to look forward to. I ate Sunday noon meal there one day and it was quite good. Many of the staff are people he has known for all of their lives. Granted, the building is old, but it is clean and in good repair. He is well cared for there.

They have done a lot of internal improvements. My father is now a resident (alert and aware) and he is very Happy there. Yes, it is an old building, but many things are good there.

My experience here was the worst. I have worked in this field for over 20 yrs and never seen anything like this place. The nurses are not attentive to the patients, they won't help with answering lights so if your family member was in distress they will have to wait on a CNA . I would not put my dog at this place to stay. I was hired help and was treated rudely the whole time. The administrator is very rude sits in his office all day and has no clue to what goes on. The Don is totally clueless and makes excuses for her staffs unprofessional behavior.

The administrator is very rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone. The facility appears to be dated and dirty on the inside. I came to visit a loved one and didn't like the care he has been receiving called to speak to management was transferred to the administrator voicemail left a voicemail and never got a call back. I came again today to see that their being rated a 5 star facility it's more like 1 star my loved one told me if it wasn't for the 'hired help' this place would be shut down. He's going to another facility soon and is happy to be leaving.
