Our Dad was here recovering from surgery, from the first initial phone call we made to Autumn Care of Statesville has been amazing! Top notch therapy team!! Food was great, our dad even said best chicken he had eaten! Nursing staff and CNA care went above and beyond. Vicky on the rehab hall is AWESOME. We wanted to bring her home with us!! The administrer goes out of her way to help or answer any questions. The admissions staff were amazing as well. We did not encounter any individual that was not friendly or helpful. We cannot begin to express our appreciation to ALL at this facility. Very clean and organized, no smell and always smiling faces. Our family was blessed to have been fortunate enough to have our dad recover here. We will always be thankful at the love, care and kindness and of course the top notch therapy he received. The Maines FamilyUpdated ReviewDad once again was in the hospital and required rehabilitation, the ONLY choice for him and our family was once again Autumn Care of Statesville. It was like going home again for our family, while you had rather be home Dad made no hesitation when asked at the hospital where he wanted rehab. He let his case worker know there was no 2nd choice Autumn Care or I will stay in the hospital. They again proved why we love them so very very much!!! Top notch therapy, nursing, cna care, activities and food. Dad was there during the no visitor lockdown they went way way way beyond expectations keeping in touch with his family. They suggested window visits, note writing and anything else they could think of to keep families in touch with their loved ones. There is not one single person in that building that did not go out of the way for our dad and entire family!! The entire Maines Family highly recommends Autumn Care of Statesville. We would like to think the entire Autumn Care staff for providing the love and care to Dad and our family at what was a very scary and uncertain time. You are all angels!! We Love You!!

My mom passed while at Autumn Care during the no visitor time of the Novid-19. When we were allowed to visit, found that her hearing aids were missing and staff did not seem interested in finding them. Hard to tell mom my final good-bye without her hearing me. 2 hours before she died a very nice CNA told me about the lemon swabs to bring relief for the dry mouth, why didn't anybody else know about this?? There were ants in the room, which were reported, just never thought the rooms were very clean. The place seems very understaffed and communication is non-existent. Each worker tells you something different. I just am very glad my mom was only there 2 months, the staff did not assess that she needed help with eating/cutting food, and then eventually feeding. They left her in the bed from the first day she arrived, had to ask for them to get her in the recliner. It was almost like it made their job easier if she just stayed in the bed. Sometimes it took them an hour to respond when she asked to be taken to the restroom. I could go on about the personal hygiene of the residents that was not addressed. There was one RN and one CNA that I felt was competent and doing their job. I won't even get into the day the RN asked if I wanted to keep her meds and see if she would take them later.........Lucky to be a part of a large family who was able to drop in many different times/days to check on her. Sad that there are so few options for nursing care, but do not recommend this place.
