Galloway Ridge at Fearrington

Beautiful place

We have lived in Fearrington Village for more than 20 years in three different locations. Now we want to make the last transition to Galloway Ridge. In addition to all of the accolades that others have offered, including the Duke Center for Living, both UNC and Duke staff, multiple activities both physical and mental, vibrant personalities, and great food, there is also the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor pool that is within the village. It is open from mid-May until at least October 1. We hope we will get to be part of the place soon.

Ellen and I visited many continuing care communities in the Triangle area where we have lived for most of the last 22 years. We feel that the facilities for cultural enrichment, exercise and, of course, medical care are excellent at Galloway Ridge. Whenever we visit, everyone is friendly and interesting. We look forward to joining the community in the near future.

Galloway Ridge has exceeded our expectations. Holly and I knew it had the most appeal of any CCRC we visited - although there were features at others which we liked. While residents for less than two months, we know this has been the right decision for us. Mariah, our sales counselor, and Margie, our relocation counselor, were helpful in so many ways. Jack Morgan's team, especially Rick, took care of all our requests for apartment amenities promptly and efficiently. A visit from CEO Bob Zimmer apparently is part of the welcoming program, and is indicative of the caring attitude we have seen displayed by the entire management team. Galloway Ridge is an exceptionally friendly place, thanks to the staff and the other residents (who notice the small 'new resident' ribbons on name badges and respond so graciously). Food quality, its appeal and variety, along with several meal plan choices, are greatly appreciated. The library is outstanding, offering a complete source of news, information about area opportunities, as well as books and magazines in abundance. Having everything under one roof for those of us in apartments is a bonus which will be appreciated during severe weather conditions. We are glad to have the opportunity to express our satisfaction.
