While most would agree, the nursing home will never be home, I can't say enough positive things about Pinehurst Nursing and Rehab. My Mom had a major stoke in Sept 2019 and this community was recommended and I've had no regrets since. The Therapy Dept has to the the best around. Therapy 7 days a week, even on Thanksgiving and Christmas! The nursing staff is kind, compassionate and caring. Joan, RN - is the best... always so attentive to our needs and my Mom always speaks highly of her. I'd not be able to mention the many aids - who always treat mom with dignity and care. She states while some are better than others - she give everyone a solid A and since she was a retired teacher in Richmond County, an A is a top grade for these aids who work there! I live out of state and my mom was recently hospitalized and all she wanted was to go back to her room at the Nursing Center... Which made my heart warm, as it's always tough leaving her every time, but I find so much comfort with this community and their caring souls. I know we made the right decision to stay there even after her Therapy was over. I have no regrets, only smiles when I think of this place. So very thankful for them.

My mother was here for 3 weeks for therapy after a fall that fractured her hip. She was only in the hospital for 3 days and had a lot of pain. The pain was only a little better when she left. She got the meds she needed and therapy every day, and she was able to go home. Her balance is actually better than before her fall. Her PT knew exactly what she needed to get better. No one likes being away from home, but it was worth it in the end.

My grandfather was recently a patient here and I would not recommend putting any of your family here. The administrator they have is very rude. She also seems as if she likes to tell lies. Myself and my mother caught her in one and she seemed so suprised when we brought it to her attention. She tried to tell my mother that the facility could not transport my grandfather to a follow up appointment because of the distance to his appointment. She made my mom to believe she would have to take him herself when he could not hardly stand to get into a vehicle. It seems evident to me that she is not in this correct position. She seems as if she is all about the money and not what is in the patients best interest. So be mindful should you consider putting your loved one here.

I am unable to give this facility any ratings. The skilled nursing here at this facility is below average. The nursing staff showed no compassion or concern for my mother and didn't even give their condolences when my mother passed at their facility. they didn't even assist the funeral home to remove my mother's body from her room. The service here is terrible for the call nurse. It doesn't matter if you have an alarm on your bed or wheelchair the staff doesn't respond in a timely matter. They may be short staffed, but you shouldn't admit patients if you are unable to care for them properly. I see why they have a 49% rating. The rooms are private and bare, no special features. My mother was due to be released to go home for home care services, however, she died before she could leave. I am so disgusted with the staff, please do not take your love one there if you truly love them. I was unable to post this review without giving a rating, so the 1% rating is for the food, my mother did say the food was good.
