Jesse Helms Nursing Center

I stayed at Jessie Helms this year for a month of rehab. The staff was amazing, the place was clean. The activity director had us doing things everyday.

I don't feel they deserve 1 STAR!!! Patient there for 2 months he keeps calling for someone to change his depends because he cant stand until he has hip surgery soon! They leave him for 3-4 hours! They DROPPED him when they tried to transfer him with only 2 people when he weighs over 200lbs! Kayla the Social Worker was HATEFUL in the way she treated an 80 yr old Christian Woman trying to help her husband! This is appalling and should be reported to someone immediately for ABUSE! Don't GO HERE!

I've been a patient since September 13th,2018. The care, I received was excellent. The nurses & cna's are great. The only problem that I have now. Is that I was moved from room into a room with a patient with severe dementia. This woman terrorizes the residents . Going into other patients rooms. Kicking in their door or just opening the door. And just come in..She starts cursing, very mean spirited. The cna's have to take her away. She punches, & kicks them. I saw this happen.When one night, they had to come get her from my room. She curses and belittles me. Had company this friday past. She cursed and belittled them. I did not want. To be put, in a room with her. In the first place. I've told staff about this..The people that are in charge of room placement. Funny that they are on vacation. Also was told that new emits were coming, so this is why they moved me. I suffer from post traumatic stress disorder. Because of my accident, last summer. What sense does this make. To place a sane patient, in the same room with a demented one. I leave on Friday from here. Really hoping to get another room. But it seems like they really don' t care. That I am getting verbally abused, everyday by this woman. Oh and they worked their employees, like slaves here. The employees, are Great. The company and those who are in charge suck.
