My grandmother was at Brian Center Hickory East for rehab after her stroke. She received excellent care and was able to return home in time for Christmas. Thank you to the wonderful staff who provided exceptional and compassionate care.

My father started out in the short term care unit doing therapy and now is in long term care. In his old age this place has kept him a lot happier than I expected (with him being less independent I expected more struggles). The overall atmosphere of this facility can be explained with one word... Family. I cannot thank the staff enough for doing all they do on a daily basis to make this place a home for my father. It has truly given us comfort knowing that each time we leave, we are leaving him in good, caring hands.

DO NOT EVER SEND A LOVED ONE HERE! I really don't even want to give this place a one star. My grandmother broke her hip at home and had surgery to repair her hip. She was then admitted to the Brian Center where 2 nights later my mother received a call that my grandmother had fallen out of bed and broke her hip once again! First of all, you knew this patient was a high fall risk and was non-weight bearing on that hip. Why was someone not monitoring her closely or alarms were not on for her? My grandmother 2 days at your facility once again broke her newly repaired hip and had to be transferred to Charlotte just to repair it! I am sorely disappointed that my grandmother was not of a high priority and that her safety was meaningless to you guys. I get your staff has many patients but I, myself, am a caregiver and am greatly shocked by the treatment my grandmother received.

My mother was at this facility for a few years and Ive honestly never felt so much love and support. The nursing team was always so supportive and made sure that I was comfortable and I was apart of her care every step of the way. The social workers helped in any and every way they possibly could. The administrative team was also present and supportive every time I walked in the building. If youre looking for somewhere for a loved one to call home, or somewhere for therapy I would highly recommend this place. I have nothing but good things to say, if I could give ten stars I would.
