My dad moved into Sunnybrook after living in one of the independent living communities in our area. I had heard such great things about Sunnybrook over the years and sought advice from a nurse who sees patients there. She told me that Sunnybrook is where she wants to live if the need ever arises for herself, because there is a family and loving atmosphere there and the staff is kind and caring toward the residents. My dad has been so happy there and really feels like it is home for him. I love it that it is in one of the historic neighborhoods in Hendersonville, plus it has a huge front porch the residents love--me too! It looks out over a walking trail and lots of trees and flowers. Plus, it is privately owned by a mother/daughter team on site---not run by a big corporation. The rooms and halls are cleaned every day---absolutely no usual nursing home smell. We made the perfect decision!

Sunnybrook Assisted Living is in my opinion a very professional and family orientated facility ,I can only hope that the care they provide will available for many more years to come.

I worked there for a few months but was suddenly terminated for no reason to my knowledge. Yes I had complained because the clients were not getting the care that they deserved, many times I found the clients unattended and wondering off. I was fired on December 11,2015. I moved on and became a direct care person and low and behold, the person that I care for enjoys the company of one of the clients at Sunnybrook So I was able to se all of the clients that I had gotten to know while employed. My problem is today, 3/9/2016 as I was driving I noticed an old man trying to cross a busy street and as I slowed down, it was Mr. Carroll Clark!!! He had walked over a mile through heavy traffic and was about to fall. I quickly parked and with the assistance of two ladies who worked on E.Allen , we got Mr. Clark to stop. Luckily I knew him from work because the ladies' were going to allow him to continue walking. This type of negligence goes on at this facility and other violations with anyone giving out meds to unresolved sexual harassment allegations.
