I agree with Dr. Noah. If you have a family member in this place, find them another facility. I wish I had.

I was thinking about working here, but after reading these reviews, I think that I will reconsider calling Shakira back, and setting up a interview.

I had a family member here, they have changed administration many times. The name was once Hermitage House but got so much bad press because of so many issues. Scabies was rampid and went on for at least 6 months. Nothing was done until employees started getting scabies and family of residents took their loved ones to outside doctors. I'm my case I found 11 pills that were given to my loved one under the bed, pillow and chair. The thoughts of another resident taking those pills or my family member not getting the meds she needed to help her condition. The place smells like urine e, residents face and hands are not cleaned after eating and depends are not changed often enough. Water is offered while eating and taking meds in a very tiny cup. Other then that these poor people do not get fluids as they should. I could go on and on about all the horrible things that go on there but I'm sure you get the idea by now. I must say, there are some decent employees who care but definitely don't get enough pay. If it weren't for one employee named Tamera that place would not be git for a dog.

As far as staff goes the people who worked here loved my grandfather dearly and he always assured us that they took care of him and he loved all of his 'girlfriends' so much, I miss him so much and I'm happy that he was loved when he was staying here THANK YOU so much to the staff that cared for him.. I wish I could tell yall in person how much I appreciate yall..

I am a podiatrist in Wilmington that offered my services to this facility from January 2018 to January 2019. I service multiple facilities in the Wilmington and surrounding areas so I understand the struggles that these types of memory care facilities face on a day to day basis. Castle Creek is the worst ran facility I have ever been associated with or seen. Take into consideration I have treated patients at nursing homes since before I graduated podiatry school in 2011 so I have seen some pretty revolting things in my career. The administration at this place is incompetent, arrogant, disrespectful and rude to a level that boggles the mind. I do not know how they keep their positions. I honestly have no idea how this facility has not been sued and shut down. There is medical malpractice going on at this facility and I find it despicable. If you have a loved one with dementia in the Wilmington, Castle Hayne or surrounding areas, I implore you to look elsewhere. You would be doing your loved ones quite a disservice taking them to this dump.
